The Day After

Last night I remember waking up and feeling my heartbeat.
It felt like it was pounding in my chest.
Like an African drum shaking the earth with its rhythms.
I could feel it pulsating in my fingers.
I could feel it more than I have ever felt it before.

I took a deep breath.
So deep as to drown out the heartbeat.
Then I fell back into my dreaming state.

Pots and pans.
Fuck.

All Alright

I wanted to know
What I have done
I wanted to know
It's bad

I wanted to know
What I have done
I want to know
Right now

Maybe this time tomorrow
Or it may be today
It is now alright
Now it's better
Now we'll know
Now you'll know what I have done.

I'm Singin' with you
Singing in silence
Let's sing into the years, like one
Singing in tune, together
A sound for no one
Let's sing in tune, but now
It's home

Let's sing into the night now
Just sing on for me
Let's sing into the night, oh

You : oooooh ooh ooh ooh
You stand next to me alright

Inauguration 2009

I was thinking about it.
All of my Political memories lie here at MCAD.
Voting, Elections, the Inauguration
It's all been here, in the College Center or in my Apartment.

It's been interesting, looking around at all my classmates, teachers, friends, and feeling a heaviness in the room as we all make and watch history with one another.
Today was a crazy day.

But I got to see these people,

and that was something I didn't think was going to happen.

Happy Birthday Erin, I miss you lots!

Back at MCAD

I've been here for about 2.5 days now. A lot has happened -- and hasn't happened.

1. I keep forgetting to write in my Dream Journal when I wake up, thus forgetting my really good dreams. January may be a loss for the rest of the year.

2. Saturday I napped for like 4 hours and then went to bed early that night to sleep for 12 more hours.

3. Sunday I woke up and made a delicious chicken sandwich for lunch. Then I saw eeeEEEeethan. He gave me the Sims 2! I played that for hours and hours.4. Charlotte, Ethan, Marissa and I played in the snow last night. We wanted to build a huge fort, but it's a lot harder than it looks. Plus the snow wasn't the packing type....

5. Peter, Charlotte and I played a hefty game of Scrabble, and then Super Smash Bros. on the Wii.

6. Furthermore, I started watching Mad Men. It's okay. I'm not sucked in yet. Fairly, I must say I haven't given it my full attention at all. I also watch Chicken Little, which isn't anything to rave about, unfortunately. Zach Braff was the only good thing about it.

7. Obama's Inauguration is Tuesday. I hope I don't have class all day. I want to watch it so badly. Plus, all my friends will be there! I miss them a lot already. But it's been easier this time. And there are only two months left.

Winter Break

Appleline Show.

Girls' Night.

Japanese Restaurant for Mommy's Birthday.

Driving on Strode.

It's easier to leave this time, but I still feel like I don't want to.
Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever fully want to go to MCAD.
I've been pretty indecisive with most anything these days, though....

A New Treasure

I recently bought this beauty on somewhat of a whim. I was perusing the aisles of good ol' B&N, looking for a few Christmas presents, when I fell upon this fancy piece of literature. I have never heard of the book, nor the author, but was instantly bedazzled. Furthermore, some pals recently gave me a Dream Dictionary and Journal (for my infamous Dream Journal that I've been ranting about), so I thought it was ironic that I came about finding this particular book.

The images inside are ravishing and the few sentences I've read were tasty. Thus, I bought it! Erin bought it too, so we're going to adventure into The City of Dreaming Books together (lit'rally!)

Punny.

I can't wait to read it, but I have to finish Stardust first.
Easy read, but I'm a difficult reader; I never make time.
And so the week goes on.

5 days left in the homey Blue Springs.
It's been a swell break.
